Some find prints too brash and bold, while others find solids boring and dull. Whatever style you choose, make sure it complements the other colors in the room. If the walls are hot pink, an orange bedspread may not be a good choice.

Don't put too much furniture into small spaces because it will give it a cramped feel that no color will help with the appearance of its size. Just think of the items you bought for your child that had the latest cartoon characters on them that are now sitting in the back of the closet collecting dust. The ensemble should still be in style when your teen leaves for college.
